BEKVAM Spice Rack Hack

So I was browsing the Internet for home  organizational ideas and hacks; and I came across the different uses for the IKEA BEKVÄM Spice rack. These are small little shelves which were initially to be used in the kitchen, but I needed additional space in the bathroom sooooo I decided to use it for that instead. What I absolutely looooovee about these racks is they're not bulky and take up as little space as possible. I placed two shelves behind my bathroom door on un-utilized wall space and it works amazingly well! One I put right side up and the other upside down. One of the reasons I did this was to hang a hand towel for easy access. The best part, and of course my favorite part, is they only cost $3.99 each!

The Era of the 'Stop Walkers'

Hi all! So I wanted to discuss my random pet peeve of the day, which are people who walk in public areas and RANDOMLY just STOP! Uhhh hello?? There is a whole world behind you. Did you think all the people walking behind you just suddenly disappeared? A black hole just opened up and sucked them in?? Or the person walking behind you just decided to go in the other direction? Please acknowledge that you are not the only person in a crowd of people.  My wish for these 'stop walkers' is to be a little bit more considerate to the people around you. Nivea Facial Moisturizer (Ohhh How I Love!!)

Hi All, 

So I was in the market looking for a really good moisturizer and let me tell you I was very VERY close to spending $100 on a high end brand of facial moisturizer. Did I mention it was for a 1 ounce. Then I started doing some comparisons, and behold I came across the Nivea face cream. Now I have heard of the cream for years but never actually tried it. As quickly as I reviewed the brand I ordered it on Amazon. Now let me say the Nivea brand that I currently use is 'Made in Germany', apparently the brand sold in the US stores are 'Made in Mexico'. **I listed the ingredients for both 'Germany' vs. 'Mexico' below for comparison** The texture is completely different; the Germany Nivea has a more thick texture as opposed the 'Mexico" Nivea is more of a creamy substance.  After using this product the next day my face completely rejuvenated. I also use this product on other dry areas like my elbows and feet. It is absolutely an amazing product; I highly recommend it. 

Made in Mexico Nivea ingredients: Water, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Glycerine, Microcrystalline Wax, Lanolin Alcohol, Paraffin, Panthenol, Magnesium Sulfate, Decyl Oleate, Octyldodecanol, Aluminum Stearates, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Magnesium Stearate, Methylchloroisothiazoline, Methylisothiazolinone. 

German Nivea ingredients: Aqua, paraffinum liquidum, cera microcristalline, glycerin, lanolin alcohol, paraffin, panthenol, decyl oleate, octyldodecanol, aluminum stearates, citric acid, magnesium sulfate, magnesium stearate, parfum, limonene, geraniol, hydroxycitronellol, linalool, citronellol, benzyl benzoate, cinnamyl alcohol.

Accessories!!

So the other day I went to Palisades Mall with a friend of mine, she was looking for a a gift for someone. When I entered the store it was like I literally hit the jackpot! All the accessories we $1.99!!! I couldn't believe it. Needless to say I absolutely adore the products I bought above. I've been wanting a Hamsa  bracelet for some time now,  and how cute is the hair piece??? So adorable. If you're in the New York Palisades area anytime soon check out Mome Jewelry in West Nyack. Unfortunately, I asked if they have a website to order online they said they didn't. Booo, guess I have to make another trip.

Get the Look!!!

Hi Yall, 

So I ripped the tags off my new sweater the other day, and I have to say I think this sweater has become my new fav. Besides the sweater I loved the shoes and pants lol. So I decided to share the look. The pants are grey from brand 'Vince Camuto', the sweater is from brand 'Lucky Brand', the booties are from 'Dolce Vita'. In hindsight I could've really used a chunky necklace, but in all honesty excessive jewelry sometimes bothers me.  

Besides the outfit, I received a lot of compliments on the hair. Which it kind looked more fancy then it was to do lol. In less then 5 minutes I tied it up and was out the door (well not literally, but you know what I mean).

See the steps below to create this look in no time :)  

1. Tie up 3 section of ponytails (Top Section, Middle Section and Bottom Section)                         

2. Tie a knot with the top section of the ponytail and make a mini bun (then pin)                         

3. Repeat the same step for the middle and bottom section of the hair. 

Voila!!!!  Done!! :)

NYX Lip Product Review

So I often get asked what type of lipstick I'm using. When I tell people it's the NYX brand, they seemed surprised. I have to say the NYX soft matte lip gloss and lip stick have absolutely become my favorite and go to lipstick. In the picture above I'm wearing Alabama which is the color I get the most compliments on. These lip products are durable and long lasting! You can go hours without having to retouch. I would recommend this brand to anyone. As a mom on the go, I throw the butter gloss in my bag and I'm out the door. Also, have I mentioned how inexpensive it is?! They go for $5.99 in the average beauty supply store. Can it get any better?! I love a good deal!!

DIY Mickey Mouse Oreo Cookie Pops

So my son turned one I decided to throw him a Mickey Mouse themed party. Which I was very excited about. As you will soon come to see I'm all about party planning as well!! I feel like the heart of the party is all in the details!! Thank god for Pinterest cause it has sparked a creativity inside me I didn't know existed. Anywho, so I decided I wanted to do these Mickey Mouse Oreo cookie pops. I saw a picture of them and I absolutely fell in love! And they were so easy to make also!! 

What you'll need:

1. Regular Oreo Cookies
2. Mini Oreo Cookies
3. Candy Melts (you can buy these in Party City, they have all sorts of colors)
4. Treat bags
5. Lollipop sticks

What to do:

1. Separate all the mini Oreos and remove the cream from the middle
2. Melt the 'Candy Melts' on the stove over very low fire. ***BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER COOK*** The consistency can get ruined over a matter of minutes.  
3. Separate the regular sized Oreos and press the mini Oreos on the top portion of the Regular sized Oreo to give the illusion of ears
4. Place a dime size portion of the Candy Melt in the middle of the Oreo
5. Place the lollipop stick in the center part of the cookie
6. Press the other have of the Oreo down and hold for a few seconds

Top 3 DIY Remedies I Can't Live Without....

Hey everyone!!! So I've gotten into the habit of doing these at home DIY remedies that I can't live without. It has become sort of my ritual and the outcome of these simple beauty rituals are Ah.May.Zing. I listed what the treatments are and what you'll need. Hope you love them as much as I do!!

1. Hair Growth and Oil Treatment:

What you'll need... olive oil, 2 egg yolks and 1 cup of water, a towel and a shower cap. Mix the ingredients and massage into the scalp. Wrap the towel around your neck so when you're pouring the mixture on your head, it's not completely spilling everywhere! Massage, massage, massage  and place the shower cap over you're head. Now some people leave it on for 20-30 minutes. I however leave it on all day until I'm ready to wash it out. It's all up to you.

2. These Various uses for Coconut Oil:

Now I pretty much use coconut oil for a few things. I use it as cuticle oil, facial moisturizer, hair oil treatment and lip balm (just to list a few). I love coconut oil because it's so light. Remember! All you need is a dab or you'll be greasy all over.

3. Honey and Cinnamon Face Mask:

What you'll need: 1 cup of honey and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. Combine the mixture and place on your face for approximately 10 minutes. This anti-wrinkle DIY mask will leave your face feeling smooth and refreshed!
